Children drawings Exhibition dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence held in Geneva
On December 12, 2016 in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Permanent Mission along with the support of the non-Governmental Kazakhstan foundation “Ismet”, the French Company “l’Etoile de Martin” and the pharmaceutical company “Pfizer” has organized the Exhibition of drawings entitled “Energy” created by the Kazakhstani children who are currently receiving treatment at the oncology clinics in Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Aitzhanova shared experience of Kazakhstan’s accession to the World Trade Organization
30 November 2016 marked the first anniversary of membership of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the World Trade Organization (WTO). On this occasion the Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Zhanar Aitzhanova gave a thematic lecture on Kazakhstan’s experience in negotiations on services market access within the framework of training course, organized by the WTO Secretariat for representatives of state bodies of the countries acceding to the WTO.

On October 11 and 13, 2016 the 7th Trade Policy Review of the Republic of Korea took place at the World Trade Organization in Geneva. 31 WTO Members showed their great interest in this exercise to evaluate and examine trade policies and practices of the Republic of Korea and submitted over 700 written questions to the Member under review.

On November 7, 2016 the Eighth Review Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons (BTWC) and on Their Destruction started in Geneva.
